Head of Sales – Series A Security Startup (US – East Coast, Remote)
Our client, a fast-growing and recently funded Series A startup in the security space, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead its go-to-market efforts in the United States. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale a high-performing sales function for an innovative cybersecurity company that is redefining their category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, driving revenue growth and market adoption.
- Build, lead, and scale the US sales team, establishing a strong foundation for long-term success.
- Identify and pursue enterprise and mid-market opportunities, engaging with security and IT decision-makers.
- Establish and refine the sales process, including pipeline management, forecasting, and key performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with business objectives.
- Drive strategic partnerships and develop relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the security landscape and competitive environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven sales experience in cybersecurity
- Proven track record of closing large enterprise deals and scaling sales teams.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to hire, mentor, and develop top sales talent.
- Expertise in building and executing GTM strategies for a technical cybersecurity product.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A data-driven mindset with a focus on pipeline management and revenue forecasting.
