Head of Sales – Series A Cybersecurity Scale-Up
Our client, a Series A cybersecurity company, is seeking an exceptional Head of Sales to accelerate the growth of their $5M ARR business and play a pivotal role as the CEO’s right hand in shaping and executing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven leader to join a high-growth business at a critical inflection point. Initially, the role will operate as a player-coach, driving direct sales while building the foundation of a world-class sales organization. Over time, the position will evolve into a Vice President of Sales role, responsible for scaling the team, processes, and revenue engine to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition and expand existing customer relationships to rapidly grow ARR.
- Partner closely with the CEO to refine and execute GTM strategy, including sales, partnerships, and pipeline development.
- Act as both an individual contributor and team leader, balancing hands-on selling with building and mentoring the sales function.
- Establish scalable sales processes, metrics, and performance management systems to support long-term growth.
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team as the company expands.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success to align commercial goals and deliver value to customers.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B SaaS or cybersecurity environment.
- Experience in scaling ARR from ~$5M towards $20M+ within a venture-backed business.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to operate at both tactical and executive levels.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, with the drive to build processes from the ground up.
- Excellent communicator, with the gravitas to operate as a trusted partner to the CEO and leadership team.
