Job Title: Senior Product Marketing Manager (Series A – Cyber Security)

Position Overview:
This is a rare opportunity to be the first Product Marketing hire at a fast-moving cybersecurity startup. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will lay the foundation for the product marketing function—owning positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is excited to define the voice of a technical product in a dynamic market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own core product positioning, messaging, and value propositions across customer segments
- Translate technical product capabilities into customer-centric narratives and differentiated messaging
- Drive go-to-market strategy for new feature and product launches, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Customer Success
- Create and maintain sales enablement materials including pitch decks, competitive battlecards, one-pagers, and use case guides
- Conduct market and competitive research to inform product roadmap and strategic direction
- Develop buyer personas and map customer journeys to optimize engagement across touchpoints
- Support content marketing efforts with strategic messaging, thought leadership themes, and campaign input
- Measure and refine messaging impact through feedback loops, sales insights, and customer interviews
- Lay the groundwork for scalable product marketing operations, including tools, processes, and team structure
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of B2B product marketing experience, ideally in cybersecurity, developer tools, or infrastructure SaaS
- Proven success in early-stage or growth-stage startups (Series A–B preferred)
- Strong technical acumen—able to grasp technical concepts and communicate them clearly to varied audiences
- Deep understanding of go-to-market dynamics in developer-led or security-conscious buying environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting clear, compelling messaging
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally in fast-paced environments with minimal structure
- Comfortable building from scratch and evolving strategies over time
